Business Trends
We not only strive to provide high-quality and stable universal services but also aim to quickly change its earnings structure from fixed telephones to Hikari and IP centered businesses. Specifically, we will reinforce optical access services and make them increasingly functional, thereby developing broadband businesses; develop solutions businesses that contribute to local vitalization and development; construct and offer a more efficient and safer Next-Generation Network(NGN); and nurture highly skilled IP technicians.

Development of the broadband business
We offer the optical access service FLET'S Hikari Premium using the IPv6 technology for detached houses, housing complexes and corporations. Since September 2007, we have also offered FLET'S Hikari Premium Mansion-Type Mini for small houses, thereby extending our services. We also create new applications through collaborations with other companies to expand optical access services.

Development of a solutions business
We are striving to reinforce our service lineup in addition to aggressive development of a variety of solutions for corporations such as BCP based on the recent market trend and internal control solutions. In addition, we began the "Service to address information security incidents" in August 2007. This service analyzes causes and offers solutions in case of security accidents such as a leak of individual information.

Efforts to start NGN services
We are striving to reinforce a lineup of services to enhance such attractions of NGN as broadband, high quality and high security, etc., represented by FLET'S Hikari Next, a service for a commercial use which we began in parts of Osaka in March 2008.

Efforts to nurture highly skilled IP technicians
To accurately address customer needs given continuing technological innovations and changes in the market environment, we are nurturing highly skilled IP technicians to enhance our services in each network-related field, optical access business field and residential-use services field.

Corporate social responsibility(CSR) is an important management pillar of the NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE WEST CORPORATION group.
