NTT challenges a new production of Kabuki using a state-of-the-technology in Niconico Chokaigi 2019 "Cho Kabuki (Super Kabuki) Supported by NTT Hanakurabe Senbonzakura (Yoshitsune and Thousand Cherry Trees)"
- Subject image extraction technology advanced! Transformation technology newly introduced! -

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Co. (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, president & CEO: Jun Sawada, hereafter called NTT) will work on production of a new Kabuki x ICT using the state-of-the-art technologies of NTT R&D group this year in "Cho Kabuki (Super Kabuki) Supported by NTT Hanakurabe Senbonzakura (Yoshitsune and Thousand Cherry Trees). This event is staged in a largest festival of "NICONICO CHOKAIGI 2019" of the Japan's largest video social website "Niconico" in April 27th and 28th in Makuhari Messe organized by DWANGO Co., Ltd. (head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, president: Takeshi Natsuno, hereafter called DWANGO).

In order to realize new Kabuki production and propose a new way of enjoying Kabuki using the latest ICT technology which has been advanced by NTT R&D group. In this fourth year, NTT advances "subject image extraction technology," which is popular in Cho Kabuki, by adopting "communication technology for ultra-high sense of realism "Kirari!" and challenges realization of "transformation technology, as a new production, aiming at transcending the stage. In addition, "Double-sided see-through multi-layer aerial image display unit" will be used in Tokyo Big Sight hall this year, which received a big response in "Tsumoru-omoi Hanano Kaomise - Celebrating Spring Cho Kabuki festivity" last year in which Miku Hatsune marched on the stage. Her marching will be decorating the performance.
