NTT Business Associe was the first Japanese company to win the Shared Services^* Excellence Award in the Best Mature Shared Services Organization category of the International Quality & Productivity Center (“IQPC”)

In April 2008, NTT Business Associe became the first Japanese company to win the Shared Services Excellence Award in the Best Mature Shared Services Organization category at Shared Services Week 2008 sponsored by the IPQC. NTT Business Associe was recognized for the overall quality of its services, as demonstrated by its 10-year track record since its establishment, as well as its unique business approach of providing one-stop services even to companies outside the NTT Group. The award is presented to shared services and organizations with the highest ratings in service maturity, quality, and other categories.

* Shared services is a method of increasing business efficiency by separating out from individual organizations those operations that are common to multiple organizations. Shared services achieves centralization and integration by creating a separate organization or company that provides services to those organizations. The use of shared services can reduce costs through higher productivity, enable greater specialization through centralization of knowledge and raise the quality of services.
