We would like to introduce Hikari HOUSE, where visitors can have a hands-on experience of a cutting-edge home that is convenient and fun.

A proposal for “home opticalization”

The main points to consider in building a home generally include site, room layout and access to transportation. NTT East now proposes a new concept, “opticalization,” which realizes an ideal home where dreams can come alive. “Opticalization” achieves a convenient, comfortable, safe and secure home life, connecting one to optical networks not only through TV and the Internet, but also when away from home. The Hikari HOUSE is a showroom with a variety of zones where “home opticalization” can be experienced, and where visitors can see and touch a cutting-edge house using fiber-optic technology.

When “Hikari and TV connect,” digital terrestrial broadcasting is received using optical fiber, allowing one to watch specialized channels and use the Internet on a wide-screen TV.
In the case of “Hikari + wireless LAN,” visitors can freely experience a comfortable network environment. The Internet and games can be enjoyedto the fullest in the living room, bedroom and many other spaces in the home.
Visitors are shown a variety of functions that “make a home safe and secure,” such as using mobile handsets to remotely turn the lights and air conditioner on and off when no one is at home, or to check that the intruder alarm is on.

The staff offers free consulting at Hikari HOUSE, and will propose everything you need for realizing the “opticalization” of your home.

The “DOCOMO smartphone lounge” opened in Tokyo’s Marunouchi area on August 4, 2010. There, visitors can freely experience the multifunction “smartphone” handsets and receive advice on their use from expert staff.

With the launch of Xperia™, smartphones are attracting attention, but we understand that customers accustomed to NTT DOCOMO’s mobile handsets may have concerns about not understanding how to use smartphones. At the DOCOMO smartphone lounge, full-time expert staff provide customers with all the support they need. Further, since the latest models and models not yet for sale are available for a hands-on experience, visitors can try out these models in the lounge before making a purchase. The lounge is a specialized showroom and support center, providing services to realize higher customer satisfaction.

Through events and seminars, the appeal of smartphones, such as ideas for maximizing the utilization of smartphones and applications available in the docomo market (www.dcm-gate.com), are introduced.
Customers can have a hands-on experience with the latest DOCOMO lineup of smartphones and diverse content. There are also corners exhibiting a variety of accessories.
Expert staff provides customers with advice on how to use smartphones. They will explain the optimum operation method and settings for smartphones in an easy-to-understand manner.
