Responding to customers' needs in utilizing big data

There is an expectation that big data, such as Internet search results, shopping history and entrance and exit records at station ticket gates, should be analyzed and utilized as customer information. However, customers have concerns, including not knowing how to get started, or wanting to try big data analysis at low investment costs. NTT DATA was able to reduce costs by maximizing the use of open-source technologies, such as Hadoop. Further, NTT DATA also enabled corporations to implement big data analysis while keeping initial investment costs down by offering a fee structure that varies depending on service use.
