With the power shortage caused by the impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake, companies and households have been moving forward with efforts and plans to save electricity. On January 25, 2012, NTT East launched “FLET'S Miruene,” which enables the visualization of household electricity consumption and electricity supply data provided by power utilities.
“FLET'S Miruene” is a service which allows users to easily identify the actual figures of household power consumption, electricity charges and CO2 emissions through “Hikari i-Frame,” PCs and smartphones. Users can also set energy-conservation goals, check local rankings, and save energy in an enjoyable manner.
Given the concerns of further shortages of energy, saving energy in the household will be absolutely essential. Therefore, NTT East will continue to support household energy-saving activities.

NTT DOCOMO is conducting “New Disaster-preparedness Measures” based on lessons learned from the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Here, we introduce services, launched this spring, that provide security and safety during a disaster.
When a large-scale disaster hits, switchboards are overloaded with voice communications, making it difficult to establish phone call connections. On March 1, 2012, NTT DOCOMO launched the “Disaster Voice Messaging Service,” enabling voice messages to be sent to family and friends using packet communications, for which establishing a connection is easier compared to connections through voice communications. Users can record voice messages after entering the mobile phone number (DOCOMO) of the person they want to notify regarding their safety.

“Area Mail” is a service that distributes “Earthquake Early Warnings” issued by the Japan Meteorological Society and “Disaster and Evacuation Information” issued by national and local governments. In addition to the distribution of the foregoing information, on February 24, 2012, NTT DOCCOMO commenced distribution of “Tsunami Warnings” issued by the Japan Meteorological Society. Users in danger areas due to an anticipated tsunami of about 1 meter or higher will receive the “Tsunami Alert.”
NTT DOCOMO aims to ensure stable communications even after a large-scale disaster strikes, to provide prompt relief to any affected areas and further improve usability.
