Overview of the Information Sharing Laboratory Group

NTT Information Sharing Laboratory Group is responsible for the following. R&D of core network technologies for the Next Generation Network towards the realization of a ubiquitous broadband society. R&D of network platform technologies which support variety of services on our Next Generation Network. R&D of various environmental technologies towards the Earth-friendly information sharing society.

Results achieved through NTT Information Sharing Laboratory Group have supported the Japan Society, utilized in various scenes of the communications services of NTT Group

We have 5 laboratories. Each laboratory is specialized in each field show as below and collaborating with the others to pursue wide range of R&D activities.

  • (a)In the field of Information sharing platform, We are undertaking R&D of common features of various information distribution network service

  • (d)In the field of environmental and energy, We are undertaking R&D for more environmentally friendly technology of communication equipment (Green of ICT) and greening by ICT technology (Green by ICT)

  • (e)For the purpose of promoting cross-laboratory activities, we are responsible for formulating an R&D strategy for providing the basis of next generation information and communication network, and for preparing the necessary environment to bring this to reality.
