Forests represent a diverse source of culture, nurturing
an abundance of plant and animal life.
Rich forests mean human well-being.
NTT Group consumes about 150,000 tons of paper, accounting
for 0.5% of the total amount of paper consumed in Japan.
It is our corporate responsibility to take initiative
in the use of recycled paper to reduce the consumption of paper resources
and positively contribute to the protection of forests.
Our goal to realize Telecommunications in Symbiosis
with the Earth is to stabilize the total amount of virgin pulp used in
telephone directories, billing envelopes, and for general office uses at
1990 levels through the year 2000.
