NTT Amends Projected Financial Results for Fiscal Year 2006


Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation ("NTT") has amended its projected non-consolidated financial results for fiscal year 2006 (April 1, 2005 through March 31, 2006).

In response to the stock repurchase offer made by NTT DoCoMo ("DoCoMo"), NTT sold 1,506,000 DoCoMo shares. As a result, NTT recognized an extraordinary gain on sale, which will be reported on NTT's non-consolidated financial results.

Notes: 1. The decrease in operating revenues is due to the decrease in dividend income from the sale of DoCoMo shares.
  2. Extraordinary gain on sale (gain on sales of investments in affiliated companies) has been amended to 249,000 million yen from 0 million yen (sale price of 166,000 yen per share).

There is no change in the projected consolidated financial results for fiscal year 2006.
