NTT to Provide Interconnection with Digital Access 1500

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) has announced that it will provide compatible connections with its Digital Access 1500 high-speed digital transmission service, as part of efforts to promote an open telecommunication network.

The connection will enable telecommunications operators to connect with NTT's network to provide the Digital Access 1500 service to customers. NTT expects more telecommunications operators will now use this digital transmission service.

The connection was announced publicly on September 24 in kampo (official gazette) entitled "Interface Function for Connection to Digital Access 1500 Service" (please see attachment).

NTT will also host a seminar to explain the connection interface, as follows:
