NTT Offers Scheme for Providing Network Functions over the Internet
Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) will provide information on "Plans for Revisions and Additions of Functions to Designated Telecommunications Facilities" (Scheme for Providing Network Functions) over its Internet homepage (please see attachment for details).Priory, NTT has voluntarily been offering its "Public Announcement of Network Functions"*1 to ensure fairness amongst operators and to promote smooth interconnection.
Now that a law on Basic Rules for Interconnection has come into force, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications requires that all revisions and additions of functions to designated telecommunications facilities should be filed and made public*2. Accordingly, NTT submitted today to the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications "Plans for Revisions and Additions of Functions to Designated Telecommunications Facilities" (Scheme for Providing Network Functions).
NTT will continue, as before, to make public announcements of all Scheme for Providing Network Functions (please see attachment for details) .
