Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation(NTT; HQ : Shinjuku-Ku Tokyo Japan,
President : Jun-ichiro Miyazu) and Japan Satellite Systems Inc.(JSAT; HQ :
Minato-Ku Tokyo, President : Takuya Yoshida) have agreed with an establishment
of joint venture business.
Recent years, Internet and Network have come into wide use, and the demand for
high-speed network is increasing rapidly.
Satellite communications system can satisfy this demand for high-speed data
transmission, and the other demand for high-speed access to the database server
in information center.
As a result of an experiment which has made by NTT and JSAT, we have developed
Satellite Internet / Intranet technology.
Using these technology and Communications Satellites (N-STAR; owned by NTT,
JCSAT; JSAT), we provide our customers with Satellite Internet Service (for
personal use / company use), and Satellite Intranet Service (for company use).
We will start to offer these services from this coming summer.

2. Outline of Services
(1) Satellite Internet Connection Service
Satellite Internet Connection Service is a hybrid asymmetric two-way network
that uses satellite transmission for downstream links and ground-based circuits
(Internet) for upstream links. So that users can get web information faster, and
they can receive a large quantity of high quality video at the same time.

(2) Satellite Intranet Service
Satellite Intranet Connection Service is a hybrid asymmetric two-way network that
uses satellite transmission for downstream links and ground-based circuits(Leased
line, ISDN, Internet, and others) for upstream links. By making use of this service,
we can provide Closed Network for private groups. So that users can receive
broadcasting high quality video data, a large quantity of files. And in addition,
customers can make a high-speed access to the database server in an information
center.

Educational Field held by Private School
Service example #2.Product Information Delivery toward a branch and a
business office on the Trade and Financial business.
3. Business Expansion
Our achievement is to fulfill 7 Billion Yen approximate sales amount within 3 years,
and to take back 12 Billion Yen approximate cumulative deficit within 5 years.
The assumption of the number of business users will be about 50 companies for
Intranet,and the number of Internet Connection Service customers will be about 300
thousand people for time positive figure.
4. Future Plan
The capital will be increased to 3 Billion Yen with other leading partners in this
Summer.
And also, we are planing to launch Intranet Service (for company use) in September
and to launch Satellite Internet Service (for personal use)in this December.
