NTT Submits Revised Interconnection Tariffs
to MPT Minister for Authorization
Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) today filed and submitted with the
Minister of Posts and Telecommunications for authorization to revise Interconnection
Tariffs for other carriers to connect with designated telecommunications facilities
of the corporation.
NTT has been promoting interconnection with other carriers by drawing up Interconnection
Tariffs concerning procedure, charges and technical requirements based on the new
Interconnection Rules. The corporation once filed and submitted an application for
new Interconnection Tariffs in January and was given approval in March.
1. Outline
The revisions are to deal with Japanese international telecommunication carriers
operating in the domestic market, as well as to add interconnect conditions with
Japanese international telecommunication carriers.
2. Effective Date
NTT plans to implement the new revisions soon after receiving the Minister's approval.
3. Other
NTT also filed and submitted with the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications for
authorization to revise Interconnection Tariffs with non-designated telecommunications
facilities of the corporation.
