NTT to Change Organizational Structure in Part
Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) will alter its organizational structure of
the headquarters.
1. In Brief:
NTT will change its organizational structure in part including possible changes at its headquarters
office in order to facilitate preparations for the establishment of new companies following
its impending reorganization in 1999.
2. Organizational Transition (See Attachment):
(1) Establishment of New Offices
NTT will establish for each reorganized company, NTT-Holding Organizational Office, NTT-East
Organizational Office, NTT-West Organizational Office, and NTT-Long Distance and Global
Organizational Office in order to consider the business operations scheme for each company and
to implement the transition of business and operations.
(2) Abolishment of the Reorganization Planning Office
With the establishment of the four Organizational Offices, the Reorganization Planning Office,
which has been charged with examinations and preparations for reorganization, will be abolished.
