NTT Amends Projected Non-Consolidated Financial Results for FY 1999

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) has amended its projected financial results for FY 1999 (April 1, 1998 to March 31, 1999), which were announced on May 22, 1998, as follows:

The amendment was made necessary by NTT's plan to transfer personal handy-phone system (PHS) services from NTT Personal Group companies (NTT Personal) to NTT DoCoMo companies. The following projected charges/benefits will be incurred/realized when the NTT Personal Group companies are liquidated:

- Projected extraordinary loss 41 billion yen - Projected tax decreases 50 billion yen   Business tax 11 billion yen   Corporate tax and inhabitant tax 39 billion yen

NTT's non-consolidated results for FY 1998 (April 1, 1997 to March 31, 1998) remain unchanged as follows:
