NTT Group to Expand Arcstar Services to Thailand | ||
Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) announced that the NTT Group today will add Thailand to the service area of its Arcstar Managed Frame Relay services, which are already provided to Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania. This is made possible by the interconnection of NTT Worldwide Telecommunications Corporation (NTT-WT) and The Communications Authority of Thailand (CAT). As a result, global end-to-end service between Thailand and Arcstar Frame Relay service provision areas are now available. The services from Thailand will be provided by CAT using node facilities built to NTT specifications and located in CAT's own facility in Thailand. Customer support in Thailand will be provided by CAT and NTTI (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Arcstar's global service area has expanded mainly within Asia to include Indonesia in November 1998 and mainland China in December 1998. The area will expand to Malaysia and Brazil within the first quarter of fiscal 1999. The NTT Group will continue to expand its Arcstar services.
