NTT Participates in Int'l Y2K Workshop


Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) participated in the Year 2000 Compliance and Telecommunication Workshop hosted by the International Telecommunication Union. The event was held in Australia March 7-9. The computer-related Y2K problem is one of the most pressing issues currently facing the world.

NTT, which represented Japan at the workshop, and other telecom carriers from around the world each announced respective countermeasures they are taking to deal with the problem. NTT made its announcement as follows (Please see Attachment).
