Environmental Policy

The NTT Service Innovation Laboratory Group and the NTT Network Innovation Laboratories are working to advance R&D toward creating diverse ICT services that respond to changes in society and lifestyles. This initiative includes a focus on advanced media- and information-processing technologies and state-of-the-art security systems. Environmental protection activities are advanced in line with the “NTT Group Global Environment Charter” and in particular as reflected in its “THE GREEN VISION 2020

1. Advancing environmentally aware R&D

  • (1)Toward forming a flourishing communication-driven society, R&D activities that contribute to environmental protection are being pursued.
  • (2)By developing various new basic technologies to reduce environmental loading, effort is made to curtail global warming and create ICT services that contribute to a healthy environment.
  • (3)Through the Group’s R&D initiatives and its operational systems that support them, a robust effort is made to effectively utilize energy and resources in ways that protect the environment and to rigorously manage and recycle waste, while working to prevent pollution.

2. Strictly follow legal regulations and other requirements related to the environment.

3. Work to continuously improve our environmental management system through regular internal environmental inspections and revisions by top management.

4. Send information through the Internet together with information releases that describe our environmental protection efforts aimed at regional societies.

5. Work for environmental protection through the continued cooperation of the permanent NTT Group companies and other companies.
